It’s official, we’re just one episode away from the eighth episode of 24, which is the first of three acts. Dubaku decides to (surprise!) target a chemical plant in Ohio. Also just as surprising, the gas isn’t actually fully released and the threat is contained. Jack, Tony, and Buchanon decide to go raid Dubaku’s secret hideout which isn’t so secret anymore.
Personally I loved this scene, in that it seemed fairly realistic. There was a rather large assault on the place and plenty of casualties were inflicted on both sides. The module is destroyed, which puts an official end to the threat on the chemicals in Ohio, but Dubaku unfortunately gets away during the battle.
Ethan continues to look for the “first man” but can’t get hold of him, and he informs the president that Henry is missing. The “corrupted” agents take Henry to Dubaku after the assault, and I imagine we’ll soon learn of what Henry’s fate is. Henry’s character seems rather familiar to Eric Driscoll’s daughter, so maybe he’ll end up offing himself or getting offed in some spectacular fashion. At the very least, it’s obvious now that the FBI isn’t really like the CTU at all, which of course was an important distinction for many fans. Dubaku is still on the loose, so let’s see if they can keep us on the edge of our seats.
