Last year, Showtime canceled their groundbreaking series, The L Word, but they’ve got something new that will give fans their fix this summer.
The reality show, The Real L Word, is the first gay-themed premium cable reality series, described as “a rare, fly-on-the-wall look into the lives of attractive and successful L.A. lesbians.”
Here’s a look at the new cast:
Tracy, 29, is a film and television development executive and a newbie to the lesbian scene. Throughout The Real L Word, Tracy will juggle career and a new relationship.
Whitney, 27, is a Hollywood special effects artist and a self-professed terrible girlfriend, saying she’s “always looking for love, but losing to lust.”
Nikki, 37, is already famous in her own right (she’s a rep/manager/producer/industry bigwig, and publicly came out on The Oprah Winfrey Show) and recently became engaged to her costar Jill, 33. Jill is a Jersey girl at heart who works as a writer in L.A.
Rose, 35, was actually the inspiration for Papi on The L Word. This real estate advisor is a “lotharia” who wants to settle down, and is currently in a loving relationship.
Mikey, 34, is also a bit of an L.A. celeb, as the founder of The Gallery Los Angeles, she also produces LA Fashion Weekend.
The Real L Word begins Sunday, June 20 at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
