America’s most famous teen mom, Bristol Palin, will make her acting debut on ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

The 19-year-old Palin has a 1-year-old son, Tripp, with ex-fiance and Playgirl model, Levi Johnston.

She will play herself and one of Amy’s (Shailene Woodley) friends at a music program for teen moms. In a statement, Palin said she was “thrilled” to take on the role.

“Bristol Palin is the most famous teenage mother in America,” said Secret Life executive producer Brenda Hampton. “We’re thrilled to have her join us, and I think she will bring additional attention to the issues facing teen parents that we’ve been exploring for a couple of seasons now.”

Palin’s episode won’t air until this summer when Secret Life returns for its third season.

The Secret Life of The American Teenager focuses on a teen mom, her family and her sex-obsessed friends. The show has been criticized for not depicting a more realistic look at teen motherhood. (There’s always someone to watch the baby when you want to drive to Palm Springs and visit the boy you have a crush on!)

The Secret Life airs on ABC Family Monday at 8 p.m.
