There was some real-life drama for one of the stars of Two And A Half Men last week. Charlie Sheen was arrested on domestic violence charges Christmas Day in Aspen, Colorado. Early Friday morning, the Aspen Police Department responded to a 911 call of domestic violence. Sheen, whose real name is Carlos Irwin Estevez as listed in the police report, was charged with second degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief. He was also accused of using a weapon during the incident. All charges are related to domestic violence, according to the police report.
The sitcom star was originally being held in the Pitkin County Jail without bond until a date was set for a court appearance but Sheen was eventually released on a $85,00 bond late Friday. He is due in court Feb. 8.
The person Sheen is charged with assaulting did not require hospitalization and was unidentified in the police report. He is currently married to real estate investor Brooke Mueller but there is no confirmation that the incident involved Mueller.
“Do not be mislead by appearance,” Sheen’s rep, Stan Rosenfield, said in a statement. “Appearance and reality can be as different as night and day. It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion.”
