It was the CSI: Miami finale tonight and I was really anticipating it. It just ended and I’m still sitting here, going… “That’s it?”
Okay, I have to admit, I tend to be hard to please. I don’t really like cliff hangers, because I’m too nosey and impatient and I don’t want to wait until next season! But for as much as I hate cliff hangers, I’d much prefer nice, tight happy little endings.
The season finale promised to be exciting. Eric was promised to be helping his father in some way and after the show is over, I still don’t have a single clue as to what in the world that was. What was his father’s involvement? Scratching my head on that one. If you know, please! Let me know!
And what about Yelena? What was up? It seems like the CSI: Miami writers were trying to tie things up– but they decided to use this one, one-hour episode to try and close up a season’s worth of different episodes. Not working, guys! And I know you writers are anxiously reading my review and taking notes. If not, you should be.
No, really. The episode starts in a prison and we see Ivan (remember him? He was the mobster who was tangled up in the drugs and all the scary stuff with Ryan Wolf’s neighbor). As he is sitting in prison, eating his dinner, he starts choking. We later find out that he was poisoned with rat poison. Apparently, that’s the plan, as he is in the ambulance, and we see the ambulance go under attack (yawn– how many times has this one been done before?). From there, we see Yelena, still undercover. She’s dealing with her own thing, still involved in the mob, but we are unsure where it’s going. Eric has his own issues, as it looks like his dad may or may not be involved somehow.
In the end? Callie ends up shooting someone– at first she wasn’t sure if it was Eric or his father, but as they find Eric’s father, he’s not injured by any gun shots and he says that Eric is. He’s also missing.
And that’s it. The end of the season, the end of the episode. Yawn.
