In the spirit of keeping things new and exciting, the CW is switching around the lineup for their fall programs.
Not only are they switching things up, but they are hopping back into the scene with a splash and starting their premiere kick off early. They will be premiering 90210 and Melrose Place earlier this year.
Annie, Naomi and the gang’s adventures will continue Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 8 pm/ET. Leading out of 90210 will be — déjà vu alert! — the premiere of the new Melrose Place.
Also of note on the CW’s schedule is a time-slot swap for its Monday dramas. One Tree Hill will move up one hour to 8 pm (a change that will take effect July 6, with repeats), where it will now set the table for Gossip Girl.
Lastly, not-so-super news for Smallville fans: Season 9 will not arrive until Friday, Sept. 25. Until then, the CW will use the Friday hours to repeat episodes of its new series — Melrose, Vampire Diaries and The Beautiful Life.
The CW will also use Sundays to repeat new series — at least until Sept. 27, when it hands the night back to affiliates.
