ABC announced the new cast of Dancing with the Stars today on Good Morning America.
The cast features 16 (sort of) celebrities, the biggest starting group the show has ever had in its nine seasons.
“When we increase the cast we find it makes the competition more interesting,” said DWTS executive producer Conrad Green. “It was about trying to make it as big as possible and try to get that sense of fun and excitement and real character come through on the show.”
The new group is quite eclectic and has some very familiar faces like TV star Melissa Joan Hart, reality star Kelly Osbourne, and Donny Osmond. The cast also has some lesser knowns like Iron Chef’s Mark Dacascos and model Joanna Krupa. The most interesting contestant though has to be former House of Representatives Majority Leader Tom DeLay.
DWTS premieres Sept. 21 on ABC. Here’s the complete list of new cast members:
