Past Life is exactly that, in the past. Fox has decided to cancel the low-rated drama.
Past Life only posted a 1.1 rating and 3 share among adults 18-49 last night, placing it fourth among broadcasters in the 9 p.m. hour last night.
Next week, the show’s Thursday night time slot will be filled with original episodes of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. Fox says the remaining episodes will air at a later date, which probably means they will be buried on Friday nights sometime this summer. Starting March 18, FOX will play reruns of Fringe and Bones in the slot with originals of both dramas returning on April 1.
FOX had picked up seven episodes of Past Life which centered on investigators tapping into reincarnation to solve crimes. The series was based on MJ Rose’s novel The Reincarnationist.
Over at ABC, The Deep End didn’t do much better last night but it will remain to see another week, only because there’s only one episode left.
If the numbers are accurate, most of you probably haven’t seen Past Life, so here’s a look at the pilot episode. All episodes of the now defunct show can be found on Hulu.
