Remember little Kevin Arnold on The Wonder Years? Well, Kevin, aka Fred Savage, is all grown up and you may not realize it, but he has been building an impressive resume as a TV director.
His most recent stint was on an episode of My Boys that will air on TBS May 19th. According to a recent My Boys set visit, he’s a perfectionist, doing take after take until he gets it just right.
This year, Savage has also directed several episodes of Party Down, the new buzzed about Starz series, otherwise known as Veronica Mars 2.0, and was at the helm of last week’s Greek episode, From Rushing With Love.
In addition to his gigs this year, he has taken a seat behind the camera on a number of other television series on various networks in the past, including ABC’s Ugly Betty, CBS’ Worst Week, FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The CW’s defunct Aliens in America. Who knew Fred Savage would grow up to be such a television heavy weight?
As if his TV directing gigs weren’t enough he’ll also be starring in the upcoming made-for-TV movie Single White Millionaire that will premiere later this year.
It’s good to see a former child actor who is making a living doing something more than just starring in reality TV shows or writing salacious tell alls.
