Episode three of Glee featured a guest appearance by Josh Groban and plenty of quotable lines like, “You can’t leave rehearsals for any reason, and that includes heat exhaustion and Crohn’s disease.”
After the kids criticize his choreography, Will forms an acapella group with a few fellow male teachers. When the “Acafellas” become the talk of the town, Will has a boost in his confidence and his sex life (once a week). But Will doesn’t realize that Terri isn’t impressed by his singing abilities, she’s just trying to get knocked up for real.
Sandy promises to deliver Josh Groban at their next gig if they let him in the group and Groban does show up at their PTA meeting gig (where they bust out their own special rendition of “I Wanna Sex You Up”) but only to serve Sandy a restraining order. Even with the success of Acafellas, after teaching Puck and Finn a Backstreet Boysesque dance, Will realizes he needs to turn his attention back to teaching and leaves the group anyway.
Quinn convinces Rachel that Will’s choreography has to go and that they need Dakota Stanley, famed show choir choreographer and evil dictator. He immediately kicks Artie out for not trying hard enough…to walk. He’s so awful that Rachel eventually fires him.
The Cheerios also convince Mercedes to try and date Kurt who is clearly gay. Mercedes busts the windows of Kurt’s car when he tells her he’s in love with someone else, she assumes its Rachel, but later he confesses he’s gay (and he’s actually in love with Finn).
Is it Wednesday yet? I can’t get enough of this!
