I truly hope it’s not true that they pick “Hot” people off the street of LA for their contestants. Why have casting calls? Why have people come to LA to be interviewed? That’s wasting time and money. If you really want to be on a show like this and you have the Best personality & deception for it, That’s who should be on it!! Good Luck to the people who deserve it and are turning blue from holding their breath!! :O

If you think you’ve got what it takes to outwit, outlast and outplay all of the other Survivor hopefuls out there, here’s your chance: CBS is currently casting seasons 21 and 22 of “Survivor”. Applications are currently available online and must be submitted by January 6, 2010.
Out of the applications received, 800 applicants will be invited to interview in person at one of the following locations: Los Angeles, Ca; New York, NY;Seattle, WA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX: Detroit, MI; Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL; and Denver, CO. From there a group of semi-finalists will be picked to speak with the show’s producers in L.A. Once the final groups are chosen, filming will begin in the summer to fall of 2010 at remote locations to be announced. You can read all of the rules and fill out an application here.
CBS hasn’t officially renewed the series yet but it isn’t uncommon for a show to start casting before the renewal so they have their stars in place in time to start shooting. It’s a safe bet the show will return since its ratings are still solid but there is talk that Jeff Probst will not. His current contract expires at the end of the 20th season and given the grueling nature of the show’s schedule it wouldn’t be a shock if he didn’t renew.
