Yesterday, I told you what to expect on “Gossip Girl” in the coming weeks and today I have scoop on the CW’s other teen hit, “90210”. Let’s start with the old school cast. Jason Priestly returned to the set last week but not as Brandon Walsh, instead Priestly directed episode 18 which he says gets a little dangerous.
“I have a lot of challenges ahead of me on how to shoot this, it’s big. We’re in a hospital…a female ends up in the hospital.”
When rumors of the “90210” reboot began, JP was adamant he would never guest star but now it looks like he might be changing his story.
“Never say never, right?”
The temptation to return might have something to do with the return of yet another original cast member. Tori Spelling is set to reprise her role as Donna Martin in episode 18. Her plot will have something to do with a Silver related crisis, if you remember, Donna is Silver’s sister-in-law. She will also be a successful designer-overseas. There isn’t too much information on what exactly happens to Silver but it sounds like she has some kind of nervous breakdown. And where is her brother David? Since Brian Austin Green is tied up with “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” right now, Donn’a storyline will also include marital problems with David. That is until “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” is cancelled (which seems inevitable) and BAD needs a job.
Now onto the kids of “90210” 2.0. Move over Ethan. BH has a new bad boy coming to town and apparently he has his sights set on Naomi and Annie. Consider this character the new Dylan McKay. He is smart and charming and even manages to befriend Ethan. Speaking of Naomi, we may be seeing a bit less of her as Anna Lynne McCord has just signed on to wrap up her story arc on “Nip/Tuck” . Before enrolling at West Beverly, McCord played sociopath Eden Lord on the F/X hit. Finally, Silver’s breakdown isn’t the only drama Dixon’s got headed his way. Rumor has it his estranged mother is coming to Beverly Hills to find him.
