Brothers & Sisters had locked in three guest stars for a flashback episode that gives viewers a glimpse into the lives of the Walker siblings when they were teenagers, but it looks like one of those guest stars has already dropped out.
Early reports had teen heartthrob Joe Jonas playing a young Tommy Walker (Balthazar Getty), but a scheduling conflict forced him to back out. Make It or Break It’s Cody Longo is taking his place in the episode.
Kay Panabaker (Fame) will play young Kitty (Calista Flockhart), newcomer Anna Wood (Royal Pains) will play the eldest sibling, Sarah (Rachel Griffiths) and Kasey Campbell is in rumored to play Kevin (Matthew Rhys). Justin (Dave Annable), the youngest Walker, may not appear in the episode at all. The show will also portray a younger William and Nora Walker, as well as William’s mistress, Holly Harper but those roles have yet to be cast.
“[The flashbacks] are all in service of understating secrets of the past that are slowly revealing themselves now,” executive producer David Marshall Grant said. The special two-hour episode will kick off a series of changes that test the Walker family bonds.
Jonas’ conflict most likely had to do with the filming of the second season of his Disney series’ J.O.N.A.S with brothers Kevin and Nick which began today.
The flashback episode of Brothers and Sisters airs April 11 at 9/8c on ABC.
