The Miami Heat weren’t the only ones who won during LeBron James much publicized announcement last night.
A special called “The Decision”, which aired Thursday night at 9 p.m., was the highest-rated program of the night, with a 7.3 overnight rating, according to ESPN. That was enough to beat its network competitors and give the cable channel its highest rated non-NFL program this year.
During the much publicized program, James, who was the most sought-after NBA free agent is history, announced he would be joining the Miami Heat next season. The announcement meant he’s leaving his current team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, much to the team’s dismay.
“The Decision” peaked between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m. with a 9.6 rating.
