Leno’s Back As Tonight Show Host, NBC Plans 10 p.m. Replacements

According to multiple new reports, it looks like Jay Leno is taking back the reins at The Tonight Show. Just hours ago, TMZ broke the news that Jay’s back. “Jay Leno has made a new deal with NBC, which gives him “The Tonight Show” from 11:35 – 12:35. Under the contract Jay had been working under, he was guaranteed the 10 PM hour. By moving him to 11:35, NBC was in breach of his contract and needed to negotiate a new deal. That is now done, sources tell TMZ. So Conan O’Brien is out, and Jay is restored.”

NBC has also already made an official schedule to replace The Jay Leno Show. Jay may be back at The Tonight Show as early as next week but the new schedule won’t take effect until March 1st. Here’s a look at the new NBC spring line-up:

NBC officials said today that “”This is a schedule that, given the situation we’re in, we’re really proud of. It has a nice balance of scripted, unscripted, new and returning. No schedule is perfect, but this will serve the needs of our affiliates really well.”

At least they have one thing they can be proud of out of this whole mess. As for Conan, there’s no news on where he’ll end up. There’s been speculation he would move his show to Fox but no official announcement has been made about his future either way.
