Tonight the new fall season officially kicks off! Here are a few suggestions to get your TV season off to a great start:
NBC 9 PM
Tonight, NBC’s latest drama debuts after weeks of buzz. The conspiracy-thriller, which some are saying is a mix of Lost and 24, begins as everyman Sean Walker (Jason Ritter) goes in search of his girlfriend (Sarah Roemer), who disappeared from a Caribbean cruise. But instead, Sam uncovers a secret that could change the world forever. Meanwhile, the president (Blair Underwood) is working on releasing a group of mysterious detainees.
Fox 9 PM
While You’re watching The Event, DVR Lone Star. James Wolk stars Bob Allen, a con man leading a double life. Sometimes, he lives with Lindsay (Eloise Mumford) in the suburbs of west Texas and appears to be a model citizen. The rest of the time, he lives in Houston and is married to the daughter of a wealthy oil tycoon (Jon Voight), who he is trying to con. After years of scheming, Allen decides to go straight by trying to be a legit oilman.
Mike & Molly
CBS 9:30 PM
Another show getting lots of attention is Mike & Molly, about a teacher and a cop who fall in love while trying to lose weight. Tonight, the soon-to-be couple meets at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting and Molly invites Mike to speak to her fourth-grade class.
CBS 10 PM
Alex O’Loughlin stars in this reboot of the 1960s classic. Tonight, O’Loughlin’s character, a decorated naval officer, is recruited by Hawaii’s governor (Jean Smart) to head up a new elite task force that answers directly to her.
