Former US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin sounded off on the recent episode of Fox’s Family Guy which appeared to mock her son who has Down syndrome.
In the episode, a main character, Chris, dates a mentally disabled girl. While never mentioning Palin by name, the girl drew a clear comparison to her son, Trig, when she told Chris, “My dad’s an accountant, and my mom’s the former governor of Alaska.”
The Palin family have called the creators of the show “heartless jerks” after the episode.
Palin, who was recently hired by Fox News as a commentator, wrote in a posting on Facebook that the show was a disappointment and “another kick in the gut”.
