In “The Real Housewives of New York” spin off, “Bethenny Getting Married?”, Bethenny Frankel chronicles tying the knot, having her first child and building her already successful brand.
This is all wonderful news for the “Real Housewives” star but its also, partly, the reason why her friendship with co-star Jill Zarin ended.
“What really was the impetus was she told my castmates not to film with me on ‘Housewives’ because why help me out on my new show, in order to spin out,” Bethenny explained on “The View”. “For me, that was messing around with my livelihood, and I took that really personally.”
She added, “I really do wish Jill the best and you never know what will happen in the future, but right now there are so many positive, pure things going on in my life that I don’t want to dig up that [skeleton].”
She also admitted she may not be back for another season of the “Housewives”.
“It is really ugly and it’s why I may not come back if it were this same cast. Truthfully my own show is not like that. It’s humorous and it’s emotional but it’s not because I walk into a party in a ballgown and slap somebody in the face. I think intelligent shows don’t have to be such a train wreck.”
She also said that as her own spin-off show moves forward, she doesn’t plan on focusing on newborn daughter Bryn too much. “It’s her choice in life if she wants to be on it. This isn’t ‘Jon & Kate,'” Frankel said.
You can catch Bethenny’s solo show on Thursday nights on Bravo.
