Ryan and Tatum O’Neal have never hid the fact that their relationship has been bumpy, to say the least. But now, the estranged father-daughter duo are looking to put the past behind them, in front of the world.
Endemol USA, a popular production company, is reportedly pitching a new reality show called, “Lost and Found” to various networks. The series will follow the family as they move back in together and attend therapy.
It sounds like they are in a much better place than they were last year when Ryan admits he didn’t even recognize Tatum when he saw her at Farrah Fawcett’s funeral.
“I had just put the casket in the hearse and I was watching it drive away when a beautiful blond woman comes up and embraces me,” he told Vanity Fair. “I said to her, ‘You have a drink on you? You have a car?’ She said, ‘Daddy, it’s me –Tatum!’ I was just trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it’s my daughter. It’s so sick.”
Since Fawcett’s death, they’ve frequently been spotted out and about together.
“Of course they’ve had their share of trials and tribulations that have been very public,” Endemol chairman David Goldberg says, “but ultimately this comes down to a father-daughter story that viewers will be able to relate to on many different levels.”
