It’s proven knowledge on television that medical dramas work. Think about all the medical dramas that we have seen throughout time and their success. HELLO, ER, anyone? Let’s not forget Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. And those are just the most recent dramas off the top of the cuff.
It’s no surprise that there is a new medical drama on the horizon.
Three Rivers is a new medical drama premiering this fall on CBS.
“The show follows organ transplantation from three points of view: the doctors, the donors and the recipients. Kate plays Dr. Miranda Foster, a member of the elite surgical team who has a rebellious streak and fiery temper. She also happens to the daughter of the revered surgeon the medical wing is named after. I wonder how wardrobe will accessorize that chip on her shoulder each episode.
Rounding out the cast are Alex O’Loughlin (Moonlight) as lead surgeon Dr. Andy Yablonski, Daniel Henney as womanizing surgeon Dr. David Lee and Christopher J. Hanke as the newbie transplant coordinator Ryan Abbott.”
The show definitely looks to be an interesting show and from a very different perspective than we are typically used to seeing as they delve into the transplant life. But the question is– will the show sink or swim?
I have no idea, but I can’t wait to find out.
