The rumor mill has been churning out all sorts of speculations in the news TV sector. The most recent of which was the MSNC host Chris Matthews may consider running for a Senate spot. As you may have already guessed, he isn’t. Now, I’ll admit that the idea isn’t all that far fetched. After all, if you spend all of your time talking about politics and what’s going on in the political spectrum, and it’s likely that you’d consider stepping into the political arena yourself. Heck if people like Jessie the Body and Arnold can get elected to important government positions, I gotta believe anyone with enough bank has a shot at it.
Now, you may have believe that news is boring, and you might be right, but having various news shows on all day while I work (all..day…), I can’t help but be interested in seeing what’s in store for these guys, even if it’s a show that I’m not such a fan of, like Hardball.
Matthews had apparently been experimenting with the idea for some time, and he may have taken on Republican Sen. Arlen Specter for the privilege. He was also talking to Democratic higher ups about the prospect of challenging Specter, who has been a five-term senator so far. Who knows, maybe he would’ve won too,but now we may never know!
