Have you ever caught an episode of Lie to Me? If you would have asked me that a few weeks ago, I would have looked at you stupidly and asked what that was. But one day, they were playing some re-runs of my favorite Wednesday shows and I happened to flip the channel over to Fox. Needless to say, I was pretty intrigued about this show. I immediately hopped on the Internet and began scouring for episodes to get all caught up. I have been hooked ever since. And well, tuning in for the finale may be a little confusing to you, but why not?
Lie to Me features Dr. Cal Lightman and Dr. Gillian Foster, who can detect lies and deception through body language and expressions. They use these talents to assist various law enforcement agencies in their cases. It’s the simple body language that can tip off these talented deception detectors: from the shrug of a should, a nibble on the lower lip, or even the slight rotation of someone’s hand, their lies are crystal clear. Lightman knows he’s lying. The show is based off of the life’s of real life “Truth Wizards,” a group of 50 or so people who were said to be able to spot deception through their natural ability.
Fox has picked up Lie to Me for a second season, so if you haven’t had a chance to watch this show, there is still time to get caught up!
As season one is coming to a close, Lightman will experience some more complicated relationships among those who he is close to: family, coworkers, and friends. The FBI will hire Lightman to look into a terrorist bombing outside of Washington DC and his special abilities will be put to good use.
You can watch previous episodes of Lie to Me online. Don’t forget to check it out and tune in for the season finale! It looks to be quite interesting.
The season finale will air on Wednesday, May 13 at 8PM/7PM CST on Fox.
