Ah, VH1. The home of celebreality in it’s finest. Do you hear that crinkling? Yes, that is the noise of me, putting a bag over my head as I admit that I sheepishly tune in to VH1 and gorge myself on celebreality and I Love Money 2 is the epitome of celebreality. Don’t worry, I’ve got plenty of bags to go around.
The premise of a show is focused around a competition to win… wait for it– money, of course. The $250,000 prize is definitely a reward for some of the more humiliating competitions that the contestants participate in. The contestants are previous reality show contestants who were on I Love New York, Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, and Real Chance at Love– they obviously didn’t win love on their seasons and have moved on to bigger and better things, like money and further VH1 reality fame.
The episode leading up to the season finale had me laughing though and you definitely should check out the competition if you have a chance to watch a rerun. The competition, aptly named “Iron Boob” (hey, I told you I was embarassed that I watched this!) suited contestants up in a chest with two incredibly large, heavy balls on their chest, and then they had to compete in an obstacle course. Watching grown men and women try to navigate this obstacle course with these iron boobs on their chest definitely had me giggling though.
My favorite contestant on the show? Silly It. I think he’s secretly playing the “I’m so dumb” card and is planning on blowing all the other competitors out of the water.
The finale episode is set to test their strength, brains, and brawn. With only five contestants competing, it’s every person for himself. So who is going to take the final win and the hefty check? Will it be Prancer, the athlete who claimed to be injured but has suddenly healed miraculously? How about Tailor Made, who has been the object of hatred for many competitors throughout the show? It could be any of the five; the game seems to be up for grabs.
Watch the I Love Money 2 season finale on Monday night, at 8PM/7PM CST on VH1.
